Many wonder if it is necessary to be vaccinated against yellow fever to go to Canada. Relax, there is no need for it! However, for those who are cautious it is worth the tip. Vaccination of travelers against infectious diseases serves two purposes:
• To protect the person who may be exposed to the infection.
• To protect countries from the risk of importing the infection.
If you get vaccinated, remember that you should get the vaccine ten days before you travel and that people who have been immunized more than ten years should take a booster dose of the vaccine, as its validity is only 10 years; and also to take the International Vaccination Card proving it!
Like the USA, Canada requires a visa for all Brazilians to enter the country. The Consulate General of Canada reached an agreement to open a Visa Application Center (VAC) in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia to make the application process more efficient for Brazilian tourists. The visa withdrawal process can be performed on the Canadian Embassy website.
