Vaccines
No vaccination is required to enter Mexico, but vaccines against hepatitis A, tetanus and diphtheria are recommended.
Visa and passport
As of November 1, 2010, all Brazilian citizens in the categories of tourism, business and traffic, can also apply for admission to Mexico through the electronic visa: Electronic Authorization System (SAE). The system will issue a valid authorization exclusively for each air travel, which must be printed and presented at the counter (check-in) of those airlines * that are optionally operating with this system. Therefore, the Brazilian applicant does not need to go to the Consulate of Mexico to apply for any “extra” authorization or biometric Mexican visa. Since the SAE is optional for airlines, the interested party must inform himself about the companies that actually operate the system.
* Airlines that already operate SAE: Aeroméxico, Copa Airlines, Taca Airlines, Lan Airlines, Tam Airlines and Avianca.
The SAE can be accessed free of charge through the link: Electronic Authorization System (SAE) available on the websites of the Embassy of Mexico and the Consulates of Mexico in Brazil. The authorization has no costs. The applicant can use the system for each air travel to Mexico.
